I bring over 25 years of engineering and occupational health and safety leadership, combining technical expertise with strategic policy development across Alberta’s industrial sectors. As a professional engineer (P.Eng.) and Canadian registered safety professional (CRSP), I have guided complex programs in regulatory compliance, injury prevention, and safety standards development, ensuring both public protection and professional excellence.
My experience leading multi-disciplinary teams has enabled me to navigate complex challenges, build consensus, and implement innovative solutions that align with organizational priorities. I am recognized for my systems thinking and analytical approach, integrity, and commitment to upholding the highest professional and ethical standards.
I am passionate about advancing the engineering profession and strengthening regulatory frameworks that protect the public and support professional growth. Serving on APEGA Council would allow me to leverage my expertise in safety engineering, regulatory compliance, and policy development to contribute meaningfully to strategic decision-making, member engagement, and the evolving role of the professions under the Professional Governance Act.

APEGA faces a complex landscape shaped by emerging technologies; evolving safety expectations; the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence; growing demands for environmental responsibility, transparency, and regulatory consistency; adapting to new and emerging risks; supporting members through legislative transitions such as the Professional Governance Act; and safeguarding public confidence. To meet these challenges, APEGA must remain agile, risk‑informed, and future‑ready while upholding strong governance and effective oversight.
