Yellowhead Branch
Message From the Chair
Hello from the Yellowhead Branch! We encompass a large area of north-central Alberta, including, but not limited to, Whitecourt, Edson, and Hinton. Engineers and geoscientists from all disciplines are welcome to join us either physically or virtually. Our main goals are to provide networking opportunities, engage with the community to spark interest in STEAM, and to help answer professional practice questions APEGA members might have along the way.
The Yellowhead Branch is small but mighty and is chock full of personality. We strive to do our best in the region and always welcome engagement, questions, and feedback from members-at-large. Improving the branch’s presence is a high priority to provide the platform for innovative discussions as well as to forage relationships in this unique community. We welcome all engineers and geoscientists from all disciplines who wish to join us in our various events posted on the APEGA website and social media.
Branch Executive
APEGA’s branch executive committees are an integral part of APEGA operations and are governed by the branch manual. The committee includes up to 15 appointed volunteers, including members-at-large and five core positions: chair, past-chair, vice-chair, treasurer, and secretary. The branch chair is responsible for running the branch. To ensure consistency among branches, chairs from all branches meet quarterly to discuss branch governance and business.
