Lethbridge Branch

Message from the Chair

On behalf of APEGA’s Lethbridge Branch Executive, welcome to our Home Page!

The Lethbridge Branch represents our engineering and geoscience professional members and members-in-training in 66 communities in southwest Alberta, centered in Lethbridge.

Our mission is to implement APEGA’s Strategic Plan within our region, which will be achieved by:

  • Communicating and championing APEGA initiatives to our members and gaining feedback from our members that we can provide to APEGA Council and staff on matters concerning our professions.
  • Positively supporting APEGA’s mandate to serve and protect the Public, through the delivery of continuing professional development events and communication of APEGA’s Practice Standards and Guidelines.
  • Engaging in community outreach, including program support for the University of Lethbridge Engineering Transfer program and science outreach to grade school students
  • Enhancing the profile of our professions within our communities
  • Facilitating networking and social activities for members including our annual golf tournament

Our Branch Executive members are dedicated volunteers who have a passion for serving our professions and our communities. We want hear from you! Please contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions, want to know more about branch events, or if you want to get involved.

Branch Executive

APEGA’s branch executive committees are an integral part of APEGA operations and are governed by the branch manual. The committee includes up to 15 appointed volunteers, including members-at-large and five core positions: chair, past-chair, vice-chair, treasurer, and secretary. The branch chair is responsible for running the branch. To ensure consistency among branches, chairs from all branches meet quarterly to discuss branch governance and business.
