Peace Region Branch

Message from the Chair

Greetings from the APEGA Peace Region Branch. 2026 is going to be an exciting year for our branch. Our branch is stronger than ever with active executive committees in both Peace River and Grande Prairie. We would also like to recognize the dedicated members in High Level, whose contributions continue to make a meaningful impact in their community.

We have been steadily committing to our local schools, providing outreach activities, but this year we hope to offer more opportunities for our members to connect, learn, and get involved.

Please stay up to date by following the APEGA Peace Region Branch on Facebook and LinkedIn.

We will be working toward making regular posts to celebrate our vibrant engineering and geoscience community. Keep an eye out for activities we will be having in our Peace Region community:

  • Golf tournaments
  • Professional development
  • Science Olympics
  • Elementary and community Science Nights
  • Networking mixers
  • High school and post-secondary information sessions

We host hybrid monthly meetings twice a month on the first Thursday of the month (Peace River) and the second Wednesday of the month (Grande Prairie). If you are interested in
getting involved, please email [email protected]. Every volunteer is important and makes us better.

Branch Executive

APEGA’s branch executive committees are an integral part of APEGA operations and are governed by the branch manual. The committee includes up to 15 appointed volunteers, including members-at-large and five core positions: chair, past-chair, vice-chair, treasurer, and secretary. The branch chair is responsible for running the branch. To ensure consistency among branches, chairs from all branches meet quarterly to discuss branch governance and business.

The following APEGA members are volunteering their time to be this year's Branch Executives.
