Reporting to the Admissions Manager, the Admissions Reviewer is responsible for review and analysis of applications for enrolment or registration with APEGA. The role provides routing and recommendations to subject matter experts related to the academic and experience qualifications.
The role will act in a quality management capacity to help to ensure that the Board of Examiners (BOE) have completed a thorough review of applications for enrolment or registration. The role provides expertise across Registration as a senior member of the team, including assisting in business areas, participating in process improvement activities, providing assessment and feedback to leadership on challenge areas. The role helps to ensure that considerations on applications are consistent with legislation, policy and upholding the public’s interests.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Applications Administrator, the Applications Administrator will provide knowledge and support throughout the application process and will be responsible for processing applications for membership with APEGA.
The Applications Administrator will display a strong commitment to exceptional and timely customer service to applicants during the application process and will oversee the applicant through to membership.
Reporting to the Director, Outreach & Product Services, the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the successful completion of APEGA’s grant projects and APEGA’s overall equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives. This position will plan, coordinate, and host consultations and meetings with stakeholders across Alberta, ensure timely delivery of all key outcomes, and coordinate the creation of final reports and documents for publication.
Other duties include, but are not limited to, preparing metrics reports utilizing statistics, and identifying trends, schedule, set up, prepare for the monthly Women in APEGA Advisory group meetings, research standards, best practices, reports, and scientific studies relevant to the undertaken initiatives, and creating resources such as presentations, training, webinars, and guidelines.
Reporting to the Director, Outreach & Product Services, the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of APEGA’s EDI programs, including the successful completion of APEGA’s Women And Gender Equality (WAGE) grant project. This position will manage the execution of all activities, including the planning and hosting of consultations and meetings with stakeholders across Alberta, ensuring timely delivery of all key outcomes, and preparing final reports and documents for publication.
In addition, the role provides direct support to the Director, Outreach & Product Services by assisting in the management of APEGA’s overall equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives, and additional projects within the Outreach & Product Services department.
Reporting to the Admissions Manager, the Engineer, Admissions provides recommendations on applications for enrolment, registration or reinstatement. The role serves to ensure that public interests are met by confirming that applicants have met the qualifications for membership according to legislation and Board of Examiners (BOE) policy.
This role acts as a subject matter expert on registration matters and reviews recommendations to enroll, defer or refuse made by APEGA staff and/or members of the BOE. As a subject matter expert, the role will ensure that the BOE’s final considerations on applications are consistent with legislation, policy and upholding the public’s interests.
Reporting to the Director, Finance, the General Accountant is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of finance and accounting services including reporting, analysis, monitoring controls and performance and developing policies and procedures in accordance with applicable accounting standards, legislation, regulations and best practices. This includes monthly/quarterly and annual reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting, developing and enforcing policies and procedures, and supporting the Finance department in the achievement of the objectives and delivery of finance services.
Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, the Marketing & Communications Specialist develops and implements APEGA’s marketing and communication activities for internal and external clients to achieve APEGA's strategic and business goals. This involves building relationships and developing marketing and communications plans and programs to maintain and enhance APEGA's reputation and brand as regulator of the professions.
Reporting to the Director of Outreach & Product Services, the Outreach Manager will ensure that APEGA outreach program is effectively and professionally conducted (coaching and mentoring staff, budgets, schedules, and project management). Outreach program includes K-12 outreach, and university outreach (undergraduate and graduate).
The Outreach Manager is responsible for managing the Outreach Coordinator(s) to ensure smooth delivery of the program and its events. This position is also responsible for committee work, purchasing, contract negotiation, metrics, reporting, and budgeting.
Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, as the Social Media Specialist, you are our in-house social media expert and will help shape and execute APEGA’s communications strategy.
Using your expert knowledge of social media platforms, you’ll work closely with other members of the Communications team to develop content that supports communication plans and ensure we effectively leverage our social media channels to increase brand awareness and engagement with members, permit holders, and other stakeholders, including the public. You’ll also bring your creativity to bear on creating and adjusting graphics and images for optimal social media performance, sharing insights and trends with the team to continually improve campaigns.
