APEGA’s revised Continuing Professional Development practice standard has been published and is in effect starting November 1, 2025. In addition, the new Personal Annual Competency Evaluation practice guideline has been published, which provides recommended best practices for tracking CPD activities under the revised standard.

As of October 18, 2025, licensed professionals no longer need to complete activity-based CPD reporting. Any remaining CPD hours and activities that were added after the last submission period have been automatically submitted, and CPD compliance will not be assessed for any partial periods.
