APEGA registrants are required to practise engineering and geoscience skilfully, ethically, and professionally. APEGA investigates written complaints from registrants and the public.

  • APEGA Annual Report

    Each spring, prior to the annual general meeting, APEGA produces a report of its activities, statistics, and finances, which it submits to the Government of Alberta.

    Enforceable as of May 1, 2023, this practice standard outlines the required parts of an APEGA permit holder's PPMP.

    This mandatory program ensures the health, safety, and welfare of the public by requiring that professionals engage in lifelong learning on an annual basis.

2023 APEGA Council Candidates Announced

It will soon be time for members to consider who to vote for in the 2023 APEGA Council election. The 2023 Council election application process is complete, and we have our list of successful candidates. Two candidates seek the president-elect position for the 2023-24 term, and six others hope to serve a three-year term on Council.

When the APEGA Council election kicks off in February, members will choose APEGA’s next president-elect (term beginning 2024), and the runner-up executive candidate will become the vice-president (term beginning 2023). Members will also vote for five candidates for Council from among the six possible candidates.

Manon Plante, P.Eng., who was voted as president-elect last year, will automatically assume the presidency in 2022-23 at the annual general meeting in April.
