Work Readiness Advisory Group

Are you a university student or Member‑in‑Training (M.I.T.) in Alberta looking to build leadership skills, gain hands‑on experience, and make a meaningful impact while you study?

APEGA’s Work Readiness Advisory Group is an exciting volunteer opportunity that allows you to support and shape APEGA’s Work Readiness Program while connecting with students, professionals, and the broader engineering and geoscience community across Alberta.

What you’ll do

As a member of the Advisory Group, you will:

  • Help plan and run Work Readiness events
  • Contribute ideas to the development and improvement of the Work Readiness Program
  • Act as an ambassador for APEGA and the Work Readiness Program (WRP) within your campus, community, or professional network
  • Collaborate with fellow students, M.I.T.s, and APEGA staff to support outreach initiatives

Time commitment

  • Approximately 1–7 hours per month, including one virtual meeting and assisting with events as available
  • August – April
  • Open to any Alberta university student or M.I.T.
