Information & Resources for K-12 Students and Parents

APEGA's K-12 Outreach initiatives empower youth to pursue their passions by equipping them with necessary skills for future careers and engaging them in experiences that demonstrate the variety of careers available in the engineering and geoscience fields.

Many of today's students will be working in careers that do not yet exist! To prepare these youth to be successful in our ever-changing world, we must focus on developing skills rather than simply providing knowledge.

APEGA's K-12 Outreach team develops projects, resources, and events that connect to the Alberta Education learning outcomes and foster creativity, innovation, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. We strongly believe in the value of experiential education and strive to constantly demonstrate the ways that engineering and geoscience positively affect the world around us.
