Mass timber presents a transformative opportunity to shift forestry from volume-based commodity production to high-value, sustainable solutions. This presentation explores how mass timber accelerates construction timelines, redefines how we value forest resources, and supports Indigenous and rural economic development. By connecting responsible forest management with urban growth, mass timber emerges as a critical tool in building a low-carbon, climate-resilient future for Canada.
