Proposed Guideline Withdrawal | Feedback Opportunity
As a part of APEGA’s regular publication review process, we assess our practice standards, bulletins, and guidelines to ensure they remain up to date and aligned with our role as regulator of the engineering and geoscience professions in Alberta.
Based on this review, APEGA is proposing to withdraw the Guideline for Contract Employees and Independent Contractors.
This guideline was developed to address business and employment considerations related to contract employees and independent contractors for permit holders. As these matters fall outside of APEGA’s legislative mandate, these considerations are better addressed by other industry associations, legal professionals, or government agencies.
The Practice Review Board has initiated the guideline withdrawal process, which includes a 60-day feedback period for registrants and the public to submit their comments on the proposed withdrawal. Please submit any feedback using the form below before noon on June 30.
