APEGA Calgary Office Permanent Closure

After careful and thoughtful consideration, APEGA Council has decided to close our Calgary office location by December 2025. We are currently exploring sublease options, which may result in an earlier closure.

Be assured this decision was reached following a thorough review of a range of options and many comprehensive discussions. Due to a significant decrease in office use and walk-in traffic over the years, paired with shifts to virtual meetings, including most regulatory hearings and professional development opportunities, APEGA Council concluded that maintaining the office was no longer the most effective use of resources.

Although the physical office space is closing, our commitment to serving registrants in Calgary remains a key focus. Our presence in Calgary will continue largely unchanged, as most interactions are by phone, email, virtual meetings, and through myAPEGA.

Similarly, we remain committed to having a strong presence in Calgary through our regular events, such as the Member Milestones recognition dinners, the Science Olympics, professional development sessions, and the many activities organized by the Calgary Branch.

We have been working and will continue to work one-on-one with staff. This has included providing as much notice of the closure as possible and assisting with relocation to Edmonton for those interested in making the move.

We will provide further updates on the office closure should we secure a sublease earlier.

The Edmonton office remains open and fully operational, continuing to serve registrants without any changes.
