Calgary Branch Luncheon | From Kitchen Tables to Sulfur Recovery

26 Oct 2026
Register by October 20 at 12:00 p.m.

Join the Calgary Branch for a three-course plated lunch and a lively panel discussion in the Oak Room at the Fairmont Palliser hotel with the CSV Midstream Solutions management team. The panel will cover the development of CSV Midstream Solutions’ Albright facility, Alberta’s first new sour gas plant with sulfur recovery in over three decades.

In this session, the team behind Albright walks through how the project came together, focusing on how impact, positive and negative, drove decisions. The panel includes President and CEO Daniel Clarke, Director of Creating Shared Value Mike Crawford, Director of Projects Dan Cote, and Regulatory and Environmental Compliance Manager Greg Johansen.

Attendees will hear what it takes to build greenfield infrastructure, and what it means for projects happening across Alberta.

Registration opens at 11:00 a.m. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the event starts, as lunch will be served and the panel discussion will begin promptly at 12:00 p.m.

The panel discussion will last 60-75 minutes, including audience questions. Following the session, a networking opportunity will be offered where attendees can speak directly with presenters and engage in conversation.

About the presenters

Daniel Clarke is president and CEO of CSV Midstream Solutions. As a professional engineer with 25 years of experience in engineering design and executive management across Alberta's oil and gas industry, he co-founded CSV in 2014 after encountering Creating Shared Value during his studies at Harvard Business School. He has sponsored and executed midstream projects ranging from small installations to those exceeding $500 million.

Mike Crawford is director of creating shared value for CSV Midstream Solutions. His background is in oil and gas business development across western Canada, and he now serves as CSV's primary point of contact for the communities where the company operates. He works with residents, landowners, and Indigenous nations to build the relationships that shape how CSV's projects get built.

Dan Cote is director of projects for CSV Midstream Solutions. A project management professional and certified engineering technologist, Dan has led project delivery on CSV facilities, including Albright, and champions the modular design approach that lets CSV prefabricate plant components ahead of on-site construction.

Greg Johansen is manager of regulatory and environmental compliance at CSV Midstream Solutions. He leads regulatory and environmental approvals for CSV facilities, including Albright's permitting and regulatory approval, and works closely with regional communities on the engagement that shapes how projects move through regulatory review.
