Central Alberta Branch | Barr-Ag Production Facility Tour
Its not smoke coming from their exhaust stack!
Join us for a free tour of the Barr-Ag Production Facility on the QE2 east of Olds, Alberta. The facility dehydrates and compresses animal feed for export to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Japan, Malaysia, and many other countries around the world. The facility also ships straw and hay within Canada, with much of its straw product being used to grow mushrooms at the Highline Mushroom Plant near Crossfield Alberta, and in BC. The tour will include a description and viewing of their drying kiln, compression, and packing plant areas.
This will be a weather-dependent walking tour with much of the tour being outside, so if the weather is extremely cold, it may be rescheduled to a warmer day.
No PPE is required, but dress appropriately for the weather outside.
Register quickly as space is limited.
