Webinar | Nuclear and Biochemical Shelter Design

25 Nov 2025
Register by November 24

Sharon Packer discusses nuclear weapons effects and concepts in designing hardened nuclear shelters along with considerations for ventilation and chemical/biological filtration systems.

The goal is to:

  • review basic weapons' effects (thermal, electromagnetic pulse (EMP), blast, and radiation)
  • design to clients' actual individual threats, based on primary targets
  • teach the concepts and formulas for time, distance and shielding from radiation, and the importance of geometry in the construction of entrances
  • plan for waste disposal, plumbing, and the proper storage of food, water and emergency supplies
  • teach the importance of understanding, preparing for, and dealing with the EMP, including how to protect electrical equipment and restart vehicles.

We will not be discussing politics. Join us and learn the basics of nuclear and biochemical (NBC) shelter construction and how these can help us survive almost every natural and human-made disaster.
