Webinar | Sulfur Removal for Energy and Emissions Reductions

04 Sep 2025
Register by September 3, 2025

Decarbonization, desulfurization, and energy efficiency are all key economic drivers for various upstream, midstream, refining, and petrochemical operators around the world. Removing sulfur has been standard practice in the industry for decades—however, with the development of new media, adsorbents, and catalysts, it’s now possible to achieve the goals above by deploying these materials in different applications. This paper will showcase the application of these novel materials for wellhead gas, fuel gas (molecular sieve regen gas or refinery fuel gas), LPG, FCC gasoline, and diesel desulfurization unit operations, and will highlight how they achieve the trifecta: energy efficiency, decarbonization, and SO2 emissions reductions in an industrial complex.

You will learn from two different case studies: 1) fuel gas desulfurization and how acid dew point reduction leads to higher energy recovery across air preheaters (in fired heaters); and 2) diesel desulfurization at a U.S. refinery site with a novel catalytic adsorbent.

This event is brought to you by the Calgary Branch—everyone is welcome to attend.
