Land Acknowledgements

26 Jun 2025

Land acknowledgements are crucial because they recognize and honour the Indigenous Peoples who have historically inhabited and stewarded the land. By integrating these acknowledgements into business practices, organizations demonstrate respect for Indigenous cultures and histories, fostering inclusive environments. This commitment can enhance a company’s reputation, attract diverse talent, and build stronger community relationships. It also encourages a deeper understanding of social responsibility, which can resonate positively with customers and stakeholders, ultimately leading to increased loyalty and support.

Session learning objectives

Participants will learn what land acknowledgements are, why they are important, what should be included, when they should be delivered, and who should deliver them.
