This course will cover the following:

  • Defining mindfulness and how it contributes to well-being based on current literature from clinical psychology, chronic disease management, and neuroscience
  • Recognizing physiologic response based on stress-reactivity
  • Mindfulness experiential practices that cultivate stability of awareness

When you participate in this session, you will learn how to:

  • Begin a mindfulness practice within the workplace and in your personal life
  • Define your action plan to implement skills of mastery and pleasure

About the Presenter

Derek Luk RNDerek Luk, RN, is the founder of Mimentra, a company focused on cultivating mindfulness training to organizations and communities. Through his work, Derek is the recipient of Avenue Magazine's Top 40 Under 40, and University of Calgary’s Faculty of Nursing Top 50 Under 50.

He completed his graduate thesis in reducing the burnout for healthcare professionals using an online mindfulness program, and received his Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy facilitator training through the Centre for Mindfulness in Toronto. Notable collaborations include Calgary Police Services and University of Calgary.

When you participate in this session, you will learn how to:

  • Explain the distinct types of signatures, from paper to electronic and digital signatures
  • Demonstrate what a digitally signed PDF looks like
  • Review APEGA digital signatures and productivity software suite available to members
  • Review ROI and workflow of digital transformation within a corporate environment
  • Validate and accept digitally signed documents
  • Identify a modified PDF
  • Digitally sign data files, like BIM, Excel spreadsheets, and emails

You will also see how an energy agency saved over one million dollars per year after completing their digital transformation, and learn how a transportation agency undertook the digital transformation process.

 

About the Presenter

Marc St JacquesMarc St-Jacques is the Vice President of Sales at Notarius. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and has been working in the field of information technology for the past 20 years. Specializing in digital authentication solutions since 2009, Marc has personally assisted over 3000 engineers to become more proficient in the digital authentication of electronic drawings.
