2026 APEGA Council Election Candidates Announced

APEGA Council Election

The 2026 APEGA Council election is just around the corner. Registrants will elect five councillors and the next president-elect, who will join current council members in providing strong governance and setting APEGA’s strategic direction. Council helps ensure APEGA meets its public-interest mandate and maintains standards for the professions.

This year, two candidates are seeking an executive position, and eight candidates are running for councillor.

Additional information about each candidate will be posted on apega.ca before polls open. To help eligible voters make an informed choice, each candidate will provide a statement, responses to four questions, a résumé, and a short video introduction.

Election dates

Voting opens February 2 and closes March 5.

Eligible voters will receive a regulatory email with instructions on how to cast their ballot.

Executive candidates

Eligible registrants will vote for APEGA’s next president-elect. The second-place candidate will become vice-president .

Council candidates

Eligible registrants will elect five councillors to APEGA Council from the candidates below. The four candidates with the most votes will serve three-year terms, and the fifth will serve a one-year term to fill a vacancy.

All terms begin at APEGA’s 2026 annual general meeting on April 24.
