Webinar | Unconventional and Code Compliant: Using Advance Analysis Tools to Design Uncommon Components
Design standards give you a procedure for the standard connection, the typical member, the everyday beam. Push past those cases—to things like a skewed gusset, a member with awkward restraint, a deep pile cap, a wall with an opening—and the closed-form equations stop. This session shows what carries you through, and explores how advanced analysis tools can help design unconventional steel members, connections, and concrete components while maintaining code compliance.
This session will be held through ON24.

About the Presenter
Tareq Ali, P.Eng., M.Eng., PMP, LEED green associate, is an intermediate structural engineer-in-training specializing in the structural analysis of various structural systems and components using an array of software packages. Tareq has developed a unique method for leveraging technology to eliminate inefficiencies in the design process by establishing feedback loops between different structural analysis software. This innovation has resulted in a 50 per cent increase in efficiency in designing steel structures.
