Life can take a toll on our stress levels, moods, our sense of control and the future, and our confidence. An effective strategy for maintaining and improving our well-being is self-compassion. This one-hour interactive webinar will help you rediscover your self-compassion and provide some tools to build this skill.

Course objectives:
  • define self-compassion
  • identify the benefits of self-compassion
  • develop a practice of self-compassion

About the presenters

Sarah PearsonSarah Pearson is a recovery and peer facilitator for the Canadian Mental Health Association Edmonton's Recovery College and the program coordinator for mental-health education. She is a registered social worker and has 11 years of experience working in addictions and mental health, predominantly within Edmonton's inner-city community, servicing the city's most vulnerable unhoused population.

 

Jeremy LivingstonJeremy Livingston is a recovery and peer facilitator for the Canadian Mental Health Association Edmonton’s Recovery College. He has studied philosophy at the graduate level, and law. He is originally from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, and has lived in Edmonton for the past nine years.
