Two-day Conference Takes Over Shaw Conference Centre April 19 and 20

Walk-in registrations will be accepted at the APEGA AGM & Conference, this week at the Shaw Convention Centre in Edmonton. A total of 24 professional development sessions are on tap, Thursday and Friday, April 19 and 20.

Need to update your technical skills? Looking for ways to work smarter? Want to know more about how the regulation of engineering and geoscience works and what your responsibilities are? Our professional development sessions have you covered—everything from understanding personality dimensions and calculating peak force to learning about social innovation labs and safety code changes. Take your pick from 24 sessions across four themes:

  • regulatory
  • technical
  • innovation and leadership
  • social good

Sessions run from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Thursday and 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on Friday. After Friday's sessions, the conference wraps up with the AGM. The AGM luncheon starts at 11:45 a.m., with Julielynn Wong speaking on the positive effects of 3D printing on life on—and beyond—planet Earth.

Tickets are no longer available for the APEGA Summit Awards Gala on Thursday evening. Pre-registration for the conference is closed, except for webcast registration for the AGM on Friday.

No matter where you are in Alberta—or the world—you can participate in APEGA’s AGM. Simply go online to watch our live webcast. You can join in anytime during the meeting.

When: Friday, April 20, 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Register ahead, and we’ll email you a link giving you access to the webcast. Or enter the webcast directly on April 20, anytime after 1:30 p.m.

We recommend checking in a few minutes early to ensure your device meets all connectivity requirements.
