Proposed Bylaw Changes Released Prior to APEGA AGM

Four proposed changes to APEGA bylaws will be put before Members for consideration at the 97th APEGA Annual General Meeting, Friday, April 28, 2017, in Calgary.

The changes relate to:

  • improvements to the validation of mail and electronic votes
  • criteria for eligibility for nomination to Council
  • criteria for removal of an elected Member of Council
  • deletion of a bylaw no longer necessary if criteria for removal (above) are approved

Under APEGA’s bylaws, APEGA must disclose to Members full details of proposed amendments at least 14 days prior the meeting that the proposed amendments will be brought before.

While meeting this requirement, APEGA has also posted the AGM agenda and the APEGA Annual Report 2016: Strengthening the Foundation.

The AGM takes place from 2 to 5 p.m. on Friday, April 28, at the TELUS Convention Centre in Calgary
