Proactive Professional Practice Reviews – Permit Holders Starting Summer 2017

As part of APEGA’s Strategy 2017–2022, APEGA will increase the number of proactive practice reviews we conduct of Permit Holders. The aim of these reviews is to ensure that Chief Operating Officers and their designated Responsible Members have the necessary and appropriate corporate policies, procedures, and systems in place. All engineering and geoscience work done on behalf of the Permit Holder must be done responsibly and in accordance with the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act and relevant APEGA practice standards, which these documents and systems are required to reflect.

APEGA will now proactively engage Permit Holders randomly to review their Professional Practice Management Plans (PPMPs) and supporting processes. APEGA will contact chosen Permit Holders starting in July.

If you are a Permit Holder, read more about PPMPs at or attend one of APEGA’s Permit to Practice seminars.
