In the next decade, 76 per cent of Canadian business owners will be getting ready to step back from their ventures, and a whopping 800,000 small businesses are at the forefront of this change. These owners, driven by the goal of securing their retirement and lifestyle, have around $1.2 trillion tied up in their businesses, but accessing this wealth may be a tough nut to crack. With fewer than 1 in 10 business owners successfully selling their companies, their retirements are in jeopardy, highlighting the need for proactive steps to protect this massive wealth pool.

The reality check is this: less than 10% per cent of business owners have a solid exit plan. The imminent influx of businesses entering the market for sale makes the situation even more critical, turning the process of extracting value from a business into a major challenge.

Cut to the chase: this presentation lays out the facts for Canadian engineers focused on their own businesses. It gives a clear picture of the risks hovering over business owners and breaks down what makes a business truly sellable. Forget the fluff—we're diving into the nitty-gritty of buyer expectations and the essential elements for a business to be attractive on the market. Attendees will walk away with key insights crucial for steering their enterprises towards a successful future.

In the midst of these unprecedented business transitions, consider this presentation your practical guide, steering you through the intricacies of preparation and execution. It's not just about safeguarding your wealth—it's about unlocking the full potential of your entrepreneurial legacy. Time to get down to business.
