The session provides managers and decision-makers structured guidance and practice on effectively developing and implementing a business case that aligns with their organization’s strategy. Participants will be active throughout the session as they do mini cases and exercises to reinforce content.

Topics include:

  • Linking the business case to strategic & financial objectives.
  • Assessing the external and internal environments (such as the organization’s capacity, people and structure) in preparing a business case.
  • Using discounted cash flows methods to determine the case's contribution to shareholder value.
  • How to incorporate Stakeholder Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility in the business case.

This session will be held through Zoom and has a maximum capacity of 20.

About the Presenter

Franco Saccucci holds an tenured position at MacEwan University as well as an adjunct lecturer position at the U of A's Executive Education. He has authored a number of published articles and has made presentations throughout Canada as well as in the U.S. and Europe. Prior to being an educator, his professional experience included public auditing, management consulting and commercial banking. He brings energy, enthusiasm and the ability to explain complex topics to the sessions he presents.
