About the Presenter
Chris Godwaldt, P.Eng., MBA, is a Water Senior Technical Advisor (STA). Along with the director, Chris facilitates the Water Steering Committee, which sets collaborative research priorities, and he oversees ongoing collaborative research projects. In his role as STA, Chris has reviewed over 500 water-related technology submissions received by COSIA. Chris also facilitates the COSIA Digital Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Group, which collaboratively identifies digital/AI priorities and develops collaborative projects.
Chris's education includes a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta, a Master of Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business, program studies at the Shanghai Institute of Finance and Economics, and the Pan American Institute for High Business Direction in Mexico.
His engineering expertise includes a complete range of industrial, commercial, and residential products and services across most water and wastewater treatment applications. Chris has a broad base of experience relating to water and wastewater treatment applications and has worked around the globe in technical, marketing, and managerial capacities on projects ranging from individual consulting contracts to multi-billion dollar projects. He has hands-on experience both designing, engineering, and managing water and wastewater treatment systems and companies operating in regions across North America, the Middle East, and South East Asia. Prior to working with COSIA, Chris was one of the founders of Alberta WaterSMART. Chris is fluent in several languages, including Spanish and French.
