Central Alberta Branch AGM & PD: An Evening with Todd Hirsch

In his entertaining manner, Todd Hirsch will present his views on the current state of the Alberta economy as well as topics affecting the Canadian economy, based on one of his books.
During Todd's presentations, a buffet meal will be provided for participants.
After Todd's presentation, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the APEGA Central Alberta Branch will be held. We encourage all members to participate as we elect the members for the 2019-20 year. Anyone wishing to attend only the AGM is welcome to join us for free following Todd's talk at 8:00 p.m.

About the Presenter
For over 20 years, Todd Hirsch has worked as an economist at numerous organizations, including the Canadian Pacific Railway, the Canada West Foundation, and the Bank of Canada. For almost a decade, Todd taught economics at the University of Calgary. He released his third book Spiders in Space: Successfully Adapting to Unwanted Change in 2017.
He holds a BA Honours in Economics from the University of Alberta and a MA in Economics from the University of Calgary.
Todd provides economic commentary for many Canadian media outlets. He has served on the University of Calgary Board of Governors and is the chair of the Calgary Arts Academy. He also serves on the board of the Glenbow Museum.
