Advanced Work Pack Planning is a Change in Mindset
The Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) approach has been developed as a means of improving both construction planning and the alignment of the engineering, procurement and construction process, with the principle aim of improving on-site construction productivity through a predictable and aligned build sequence.
From his diversified and broad industry experience Dan Canning has been an advocate and champion in the utilization of Advanced Work Pack planning being a change in mindset for project delivery through a best in class process adopted on all types of projects EP, EPcm, EPC, EPF…. to promote focus on the final asset.
Begin with the end in mind, in a logical, structured, coded and connected order to underpin a truly integrated project delivery (IPD) approach with opportunity for continual improvements in a measured manner
This approach places a focus on construction planning and execution as a driver for the delivery of engineering and procurement to construction in an aligned, structured, connected and organised manner.
The outcome is for engineering and procurement to design and procure in the most efficient way possible in support of the specific demands of the Construction plan.
The AWP processes and supporting systems presented by Wood PLC can be tailored for the project's specific needs and benefits transition seamlessly from early planning within the FEED stage into Detail design engineering stage and beyond.
