Through my experiences, I developed skills in leadership, communication, management, finance, risk assessment, regulatory development, corporate governance, and the law. I have been a Professional Engineer in Alberta since 1989. My company has held a Permit to Practice since 1992. My technical engineering development began with large energy companies and later through my own company. My expertise in wellbore integrity and liability management has been recognized in several peer reviewed publications. I was appointed and served as a Board Member with the Energy Resources Conservation Board (now the Alberta Energy Regulator) from 2009-2013. I hold a B.Eng. from McGill University, and an MBA and JD from the University of Calgary.
The engineering profession allowed me to have a fulfilling career, mentor young engineers, and contribute to Alberta. Having reaped the benefits of APEGA membership now is the time to give back to our professional community, utilizing my skills to assist APEGA in advancing its mission to “safeguard the public welfare by proactively regulating the practice of engineering and geoscience”. I have the time and experience to devote to APEGA to fully participate in Council and its committees. If elected, I look forward to putting my skills to work for APEGA.
