February 13 | Medicine Hat Branch AGM & Grit City Distillery Tour

Come out to the Medicine Hat Branch annual general meeting, followed by supper at the Silver Buckle Sports Bar—home of the $5.55 steak sandwich! After supper, we’ll walk across the street to the Grit City Distillery for a plant tour hosted by its new owners. We currently have a full executive and encourage all members within our region to come and meet the us, see what we are planning for this year, and enjoy a tour of a new local business. There is no charge for the event, but attendees will be responsible for paying for their own food and drinks.

March 16 | APEGA Science Olympics—Medicine Hat

Registration for the 2019 APEGA Science Olympics—Medicine Hat is now open! Speak to your children's teachers to get them registered in this exciting event. It’s open to Grades 4-6 and 10-12 students.

The Ivan Finlay Leadership Award recognizes Alberta university engineering and geoscience students who demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities. The award includes a prize of $1,000. Nomination deadline is February 15, 2019.

Science Olympics Volunteers

APEGA is looking for enthusiastic volunteers interested in sharing their passion for engineering and geoscience with students at the 2019 APEGA Science Olympics—Medicine Hat.

Virtual Resume Review Volunteers

APEGA is looking for volunteers with formal hiring experience to virtually review resumes for engineering and geoscience university students across Alberta.

APEGA’s Mentoring Program is Available Throughout Alberta

Potential mentees and mentors are invited to participate in APEGA’s mentoring program.

Mentees: Did you know e-mentoring is an option? Consider connecting with a mentor via Skype, FaceTime, email, or phone! It will save you time and increase opportunities to connect with a mentor with the qualifications and background you are looking for.

Mentors: Consider e-mentoring by Skype, FaceTime, email, or phone. Mentees apply to our program from throughout Alberta. Give them a chance to connect with you!
