Pi Challenge | APEGA

Pi Challenge

The APEGA Pi Challenge is an exciting, interactive event designed to test and challenge the math skills of students in grades 7 to 9. The event aims to encourage students to develop the critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills needed to understand and appreciate the wonders of mathematics. The event will expose participants to math's various applications in engineering and geoscience, and in their everyday lives.

The curriculum is designed by a work group comprised of Professional Engineers and Professional Geoscientists, in conjunction with local teachers. The questions are based on the Alberta mathematics curriculum, with a variety of difficulty levels and delivery methods.
