Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Outreach & Product Services, the Supervisor, Membership Administrator, oversees all processes related to members’ change requests according to APEGA policies, procedures, and the EGP Act, Regulations, and Bylaws. In addition, they supervise and coach the Membership Administrators to ensure they provide exceptional customer service to APEGA membership and deliver on their day-to-day responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Educating and providing on-the-job training, guidance, and coaching to Membership Administrators on APEGA policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Proactively maintaining open lines of communication and ensuring consistency and accuracy of responses to APEGA members.
  • Assigning work tasks and organizing work flow to ensure equal distribution of work load and cross-training of team members.
  • Handling members’ concerns and escalations and providing guidance on requests that fall outside the well-established policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing and approving confirmation letters.
  • Gathering and reporting on key metrics and KPIs to show the health of the different processes.
  • Collaborating with departments across APEGA to identify opportunities for cost savings and automating workflows to improve efficiencies, where possible.
  • Providing input on policy changes and amendments and evaluating the impact on membership administration procedures.
  • Responsible for all policies and procedures pertinent to membership administration processes, including creating, updating, and communicating these policies and procedures to APEGA staff and membership.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma in a related field
  • 4-5 years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a customer service setting providing first-line inquiry support or services in a professional setting
  • Supervisory experience is required
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office and/or various databases or systems is required
  • Strong communications skills are required
  • Equivalencies may be considered
