The 2001 APEGGA Annual General Conference is a forum for establishing,
maintaining and improving contacts and cooperation between engineers and
geoscientists from across Alberta. The conference, April 25-27, is a prime
opportunity for members to network, share insights and learn more about
the professions and their professional association.
This year's theme, Beyond the Frontier, reflects the exciting, challenging
and changing environments confronting engineering and geoscience professionals
as they boldly prepare for the future. Calgary's Telus Convention Centre
and Fairmont Palliser will be the primary sites of the conference, which
includes two days of professional development sessions, the Summit Awards
Gala, the Annual General Meeting and Luncheon, and a guest program.
Keeping up with technology and innovation is a challenge for every professional.
The Professional Development Program offers a wide range of cutting-edge
seminars, from economics to team building.
Summit Winners Honoured
The Summit Awards Gala is the social event of the year, bringing together
leaders in the professions, business, government and education to celebrate
and acknowledge the significant accomplishments of Alberta's geoscientists
The Annual General Meeting, the pivotal event of the conference, provides
members with the opportunity to become involved in the business of the
association, vote on matters brought before the meeting, hear issues of
importance relating to APEGGA and the professions and present motions
