The conference provides an opportunity to learn about best practices for programs, share useful tools and techniques, and discover new research and resources.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
You won’t want to miss the return of Professor Robert Garvey, Ph.D. an international speaker on mentoring. Dr. Garvey is inspirational and informative. A professor at York University in the UK, he has published dozens of books and created videos including over 20 on various aspects of mentoring.
Dr. Francis Hartman, P. Eng., Professor Emeritus, Faculty of Engineering,
University of Calgary, has just started an exciting new training company. At this conference he
brings to bear all his background knowledge on neuroscience as it relates to leadership and
mentoring.
Many of you may have heard the popular Dr. Lionel Laroche (P. Eng. Ont.), speak about cultural diversity. His session at the conference will address this knowledge as it relates to effective mentoring.
Shawn Bakker, M.A., is a local psychologist well-versed in the Myers Briggs Type Inventory (MBTI).
His session will focus on using that tool to understand your personality better and that of others, in order to become a better mentor.
