Orders & Replacements

Members and permit holders receive licence certificates, registrant cards (previously called member cards), rings, and stamps to identify their right to independent practice and right to use title. If your item is lost, damaged, or stolen, you can request a replacement.

You may also request a copy of the APEGA logo member variant to use on your business cards, letterhead, or other material. You must first provide a mockup or proof of how you intend to use the logo which complies with APEGA's logo use guidelines.

Licence Certificates

After becoming a professional member or permit holder with APEGA, you will receive a licence certificate displaying your registration. If this certificate is lost, damaged, or stolen, you can request a replacement for $20 (includes GST). You should receive your replacement certificate within two to three months.

Members can purchase replacement licence certificates through myAPEGA. For permit holders, the senior officer and administrators with access to the myAPEGA company finance centre can purchase certificates.

APEGA also sells several different certificate frames to display your license certificate.

Registrant Cards

APEGA issues licence holders a registrant card (previously called a member card) upon their acceptance and upon their annual renewal. This card is available online on your myAPEGA dashboard to be displayed, downloaded, or printed.

Physical cards are no longer issued.

Stamps and Digital Signatures

APEGA licensed professionals can request a stamp to authenticate professional work products. To prevent identity fraud, an APEGA member may only possess one of any given stamp type at a time. For example, a member may use a rubber stamp in both large and small sizes but cannot possess two large rubber stamps. A prefix is not permitted on the stamp name.

The following licensed professionals can request professional stamps:

  • Professional member
  • Professional licensee
  • Licensee

To order an APEGA professional stamp, please log in to myAPEGA and look for Purchase Professional Stamp in the finance centre. If you require support, email [email protected].

Physical stamps are sent via courier and can only be delivered to a street address. Please provide your phone number to facilitate the delivery.

  • If you require a replacement for a damaged stamp, please mail the damaged stamp back to APEGA and purchase a new stamp on myAPEGA.
  • If you are no longer an active registrant of APEGA, you must mail back any previously ordered stamps to APEGA's office in Edmonton for destruction. Please address your package: ATTN: Stamp and Certificate Returns. Any electronic stamps should also be deleted.

If you are ordering physical stamps or certificate frames for delivery to the United States, you are responsible for paying any U.S. tariffs, duties, or taxes, which may be collected upon delivery.

Electronic stamps are sent via email directly from our vendor ([email protected]). Be sure to check your junk or spam folder if you are expecting an electronic stamp. The vendor keeps a copy of the electronic stamp for 90 days.

  • When you purchase an APEGA digital signature from Notarius, it includes an electronic image of your stamp, available in your ConsignO profile. You do not need to purchase a separate electronic stamp image through the myAPEGA portal, and no refunds will be provided if you purchased additional electronic stamps.

Iron Rings and Earth Rings

APEGA does not issue nor administer the Iron and Earth rings. Should you need a replacement, please refer to the contacts listed below.

Iron Rings

Iron rings are administered by the Corporation of Seven Wardens. You must order replacements from the same camp that you received your original ring from. If you received your ring from another camp, you must contact that camp directly.

Earth Rings

There is no single national or provincial organization that administers the Earth rings for geoscientists. Volunteers at each university coordinate to order the rings for the ceremony after the ethics workshop, and replacement rings can be ordered directly from the below jewellers and metalsmiths.
